About The Holywell Club of Sussex

Brethren & Friends,

With the recent success of the Holywell Club and the fantastic support from Grand Lodge, Metropolitan Grand Lodge & The Provincial Grand Lodge of Sussex, we’d like to keep the positivity going and answer a few questions about what we actually do!

The Holywell Club is a group for like-minded local Freemasons, their Families & Friends. As a Freemason in the area you are entitled to become a member of the Holywell Club.

The Holywell Club is associated with the national group of NYMC (New & Young Mason Clubs) but we have No age or experience restrictions and welcome all those connected to a UGLE Lodge or wish to learn more about Freemasonry.

We aim to organise socials, days out, provide opportunities for discussion on masonic issues and to support all local lodges by boosting the attendance of their meetings and social events, where we can.

We also offer a relaxed environment for potential candidates to get involved in the social side of Freemasonry and hopefully promote an honest and positive view of our masonic community.

Membership is Free, no dues, no subscriptions as we know various memberships can build up.

We are currently based at Eastbourne Masonic Hall, South Street but often hold social gatherings at other local venues.

Being the first of its kind in Sussex, we have learned some wonderful lessons and would love to assist any enthusiastic Brethren in promoting Social & Helpful Freemasonry in the Community and would love to hear from anyone who feels their area needs assistance setting up a similar club.

We endeavour to ensure that ceremonies are well attended. If you enjoy visiting and would like to join us, please get in touch. If your lodge has an event you wish to have a boost, let us know and we will endeavour to get all available brethren to answer your summons.

But to make this work, we need your help. We appreciate that we all have busy lives, but we’d love to have you along. Please spread the word amongst you friends & Brethren as well as share this post to your own Lodge Facebook page if you have one.

So keep an eye on our Facebook page, sign up with your contact details on our website www.holywellclub.org and as of January we’ll be sending out a monthly newsletter to keep you informed.

Thank you for giving us such amazing support.
